For many of us, 2020 has been tough. Not just health-wise, but financially too. The UK has seen widespread job losses and many people are still furloughed from their jobs, more than nine months after the pandemic reached the UK back in March.

With many of us therefore having to be more budget conscious this Christmas, Jack’s got in touch to ask me to show how they can help you have a budget-friendly Christmas this year.

However you’re celebrating Christmas this year, whether it’s just you and your immediate family, or you’re planning to bubble-up with some other families, Jack’s is here to help.

With a huge range of budget-friendly festive items, from Christmas dinner to tasty treats and tipples, Jack’s is your must-go-to supermarket if you’re looking to celebrate Christmas on a budget this year.

What is Jack’s Supermarket?

Named after Tesco founder Jack Cohen, Jack’s is a discount chain supermarket founded by Tesco. With now over ten stories in the UK, Jack’s is quickly becoming popular with the British public thanks to its low prices and quality goods.

Jack’s work with over 300 farmers, growers and producers to bring you the flavours of Britain at the lowest prices.

They even have a When It’s Gone It’s Gone (WIGIG) aisle in store. New products arrive every Thursday including toys, homewares, electricals, Christmas decorations, stocking fillers and more. And when it’s gone, it’s gone!

What festive favourites can you find at Jack’s supermarket?

We visited our local Jack’s supermarket in St. Helen’s to pick up some festive favourites ready for Christmas.

As well as a huge range of Jack’s own brand products, Jack’s also stock Britain’s favourite brands at outstanding prices.

Jack’s have some special products in their Christmas range such as their award-winning mince pies, mini toad in the holes and a giant festive sausage roll!

Vegetarians will love their great veggie range of festive nibbles meaning there is something the whole family will love!

We picked these festive favourites for an outstanding price:

  • Tins of chocolate (Celebrations and Cadbury’s Heroes)
  • Pringles (much cheaper than the other supermarkets!)
  • Mince pies
  • Baked camembert
  • Mini toad in the holes
  • Festive cheese selection
  • Pigs in blankets
  • Garlic breaded mushrooms
  • Festive napkins
  • Christmas crackers

The festive nibbles were absolutely delicious and a real treat to perk us up in the middle of our local lockdown.

I was also really pleased to be able to pick up tins of Pringles for half the price that I have seen them in other supermarkets.

Is Jack’s really cheaper than other supermarkets?

We found the prices in Jack’s to be really competitive. For £40 we were able to pick up enough festive treats to create our own little Christmas party to celebrate the arrival of our Elf for Christmas.

And, with all of Jack’s fresh turkey, chicken, beef and lamb being British, you know that what you’re buying is not only budget-friendly, but also of the very best quality too!
