Despite the recent deluge of rain and wind, is there anything quite like a Great British barbecue? We love nothing more than getting the family together, roaring up the barbecue and getting stuck into some delicious grub. And this summer, we are getting all our barbecue faves from Jack’s.
You may remember last Christmas that we celebrated in style with some fabulous finds from Jack’s and this summer is no different!
Who are Jack’s?
Named after Tesco founder Jack Cohen, Jack’s is a discount chain supermarket founded by Tesco. With now over ten stories in the UK, Jack’s is quickly becoming popular with the British public thanks to its low prices and quality goods.
At Jack’s, they love the flavours of Britain and are passionate about working with and supporting hundreds of regional farmers, growers and producers. That’s why 100% of Jack’s fresh chicken, beef and lamb are British , and 100% of Jack’s fresh milk is British too.
And the best part? All of this is brought to you at outstanding value with really budget-friendly prices!
Barbecue season at Jack’s
Jack’s have all the barbecue essentials you need at super low prices.
If chicken tickles your taste buds, they have BBQ Mango Coconut & Lime Chicken Fillets, or chicken thighs rubbed in a BBQ Chinese or sweet chilli seasoning.
If beef’s your bite, the salt & pepper thin cut beef steaks are the one for you! Or indulge in the sweet but smokey BBQ beef kebabs.
All of the Fire Pit range is available from Jack’s stores, priced at only £2.99 per item and boy, were we spoilt for choice!
Fire up the BBQ!
Last weekend, in-between the rain and the win, we invited Neil’s mum round for a barbecue with the boys and grilled up some amazing bits!
The boys enjoyed Jack’s British Beef 1/4lb Burgers and Jumbo Pork Sausages (made with British minced pork) in brioche buns, while we devoured Fire Pit Piri Piri Chicken Steaks and Buffalo Style Chicken Wings.
All served with a crunchy salad, nachos and dip! Nom.
Why we love Jack’s
With each item in the BBQ range costing only £2.99, we were able to have a mighty feast for less than £20. We even had enough leftovers for the following day and used the leftover chicken to make a spicy lasagne.
All of Jack’s meat comes from British farms, so you know you’re buying fresh, quality meat that supports UK based famers.
The food tastes amazing. Despite its low price tag, the quality and taste has certainly not been compromised and we all loved trying lots of new flavours and ideas.
We also love the When It’s Gone It’s Gone aisle (WIGIG). The boys found a trove of treasure down this aisle and we even managed to pick up a last minute present for a birthday party we were attending later on in the weekend!
