#MyHeartyLife | Week 4

28th January 2018

Welcome back to another week of  #MyHeartyLife. Each week I will be sharing what we have been up to and what cheerful moments we’ve experienced.

I can’t believe this is the last week of January, the month has just passed us by! I was determined to make the most of this week and so on both of my days off I made a list of what I wanted to achieve with a mixture of house work, blog jobs and things to do with Dex. On Wednesday we spent the afternoon baking a banana and blueberry loaf inbetween watching CBeebies, reading a few flap books we have which are his new favourite and playing with toys. On Sunday we did a spot of shopping in a retail park before moving on to a local park. More on that later…

The lovely weather we’ve had this week. We managed to go out for a walk around the dock on Wednesday in the beautiful sunshine and despite the story the picture tells Dexter absolutely loved it, especially when we met two gorgeous dogs on the promenade!

Dexter has really started to take an interest in books over the past week, pointing out things and enjoying flap books in particular. He was given a book called ‘Dexter Don’t Do That!‘ for Christmas by his grandma and that is a particular favourite.

On Sunday after doing some shopping we decided to go to Croxteth Hall Park, but due to the terrible signposting, awful website and bad Satnav, I couldn’t find the car park so we gave up. On the way home we stumbled upon Stanley Park which sits between Goodison Park and Anfield. It’s a beautiful park with ample parking, a huge lake, pavilions aplenty and lots of space for a toddler to roam free. We have a great time traversing the paths in the park and only ran into meltdown city when I attempted to divert him away from the lake. We will definitely be returning soon!

The Hearty Life

#MyHeartyLife is a weekly linky celebrating the goodness in life that week! The things you were grateful for, succeded at, and generally just beautiful. Whether big or small, share them in a post and realise the little beauties in life, despite the shortcomings, storms and failures!

Sounds like you have had some lovely moments. It’s always so nice when children get into books! The park you found sounds wonderful.

I can’t wait to read more of your Sucesses, Beauty and What you are grateful for on the coming weeks.

Nicola that banana and blueberry loaf sounds divine!!! I love walking near water and it sounds like you have a lovely walk too – doesn’t it feel good to make lists and tick them off? well done for accomplishing lots and having some fun moments in the process.
That book sounds great and I am excited for Dex and his book adventures – some lovely pics of him! xx #MyHeartyLife
