Description

A delicious and healthy pumpkin soup for babies that adults can enjoy alongside their little ones. The perfect little lunch time treat – simple to make and yummy too!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 onion
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 400 grams pumpkin (peeled and chopped into small chunks)
  • 600ml water
  • 1 tbsp stock powder
  • 1/4 tsp pepper

Instructions

  1. Peel and halve an onion. Finely chop one half and add to a large saucepan along with the oil.
  2. Grate a clove of garlic and add to the saucepan. Fry for a few minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, peel and chop up your pumpkin into cubes.
  4. Add to the saucepan and then cover with water (around 600ml)
  5. Bring to the boil, then simmer for 15 minutes.
  6. Add pepper to taste and then blend with a hand blender until thick and creamy.
  7. Make sure soup is cooled fully before offering to baby.
