Description

A quick and simple recipes to create sweet potato fritters baby will love! The perfect baby led weaning lunch idea or a ideal for batch cooking for snack on the go!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 150 grams of sweet potato (small – medium sized sweet potato)
  • 1 egg
  • 50 grams flour
  • 1 tsp cumin (optional)
  • 1 tsp onion powder (optional)

Instructions

  1. Grate the sweet potato into a bowl, add egg, flour and spices (if using) and combine until thoroughly mixed.
  2. Heat a little oil in a frying pan and let the pan heat up. Turn the heat down once hot.
  3. Using a table spoon, spoon the mixture into the frying pan, creating small patties, flatten them with the back of the spoon.
  4. Fry for four minutes on each side (or until browned).
  5. Once cooked, leave to cool before serving to baby. Serve them as they are or cut into strips for easy handling.
