Description

Simple baby led weaning omelette using two simple ingredients. A fantastic way to introduce eggs to your baby from six months. This recipe can be shared between Mum and baby.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 eggs
  • oil/butter
  • 30 grams cheese
  • black pepper (optional)
  • ground basil (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill.
  2. Crack three eggs into a bowl and whisk with a fork until fully combined.
  3. Add half of the cheese to the mixture and combine. Add herbs if using.
  4. Heat oil or butter in a non-stick frying pan and when melted, pour the egg and cheese mixture in. Let it spread across the pan.
  5. After three minutes, when you see the edges browning, add the rest of the cheese to the top of the baby led weaning omelette and pop it under the grill for five minutes.
  6. Carefully remove from under the grill (the handle will be hot!) and leave to cool fully before offering to baby.
  7. Slice baby's half into strips for them to self feed and serve your half with a chunky cucumber, avocado and tomato salad.
