If you are all set to travel to your favorite destination – the UK – there are several things you should know before you board the plane. This way, you will have a better time when you explore the best places in the UK.

Usually, when people think of the UK, they only have one thing in mind: they want to explore London. However, London is not all of the UK, because the country has so many diverse parts that you must visit at all costs. Take Wales, for instance, where you can do amazing outdoor adventurous things.

Go up to Scotland to see the Isle of Skye and the waterfalls. The highlands and the castles are so beautiful that you probably wouldn’t want to leave those places. You get the point – there are amazing things to see throughout the UK and not just in London.

So, you will want to ensure that you have booked your accommodations in advance with CozyCozy to get out of London and explore amazing places throughout the United Kingdom. Here are a few things to know before you visit the UK:

Transportation

We recommend renting a car to explore the UK. However, we should give you a heads-up that they drive on the left side of the road, which can be a bit hair-raising at first as you are not used to it, but after some time, you will settle and get used to driving on the other side of the road.

If you want to live the essence of the United Kingdom, you will really want to get in there and explore the villages, the palaces, the ruins, and the castles. This aspect indicates that you will want to rent a car so you can fully explore the UK.

However, if you don’t want to rent a car, you can use the bus and train system that can help you get to the places where you want to go. Compared to the trains, the buses in the UK are more cost-effective.

Currency

The British pound is the currency of the UK, but if you are in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you might see a different version of the British pound. Technically, the GBP should be accepted anywhere – but some places might not take the Scottish pound.

Suppose you are exploring Scotland, and you are ready to leave Scotland; we recommend trying to exchange your currency for the British pounds –to save yourself the headache later on. If you are looking to get cash, you will find ATMs all over the place; however, most places in the UK prefer cards over cash.

Explore and Make Memories

There is so much to see and do in each part of the country, which is why you should plan a Northern Island trip, a Whales trip, a Midlands England tip, a Scotland trip, a London trip, and a Southern England trip. There is so much to do in the different parts of the UK that you want to make a list of all the places that you can then keep checking off.
