Antipodes Merino Sleep Bag | Review {AD-Gifted}

Sleeping bags and sleep sacks have been an absolute godsend for me and Dexter since he was born. He came into the world in May 2016 and we lived through what seemed to be the hottest summer in many years. As a newborn I was paranoid he would be cold and it didn’t help when he kept kicking off the blanket I lovingly placed on him. I became paranoid that as well as freezing to death, he would end up suffocating from the blanket he had inadvertently thrown over his head. Sleep sacks gave me the peace of mind that he was warm and safe from the dangers of suffocation. We’ve tried lots of different varieties out since Dexter came into the world, but my favourite so far has to be the Antipodes Merino sleeping bag.

This beautifully designed Antipodes Merino sleep bag comes in a blue, pink and aqua (U.S. only) and is made from 100% superfine merino wool making it warm in the winter and cool in the summer.

I had no idea about the many benefits of using merino wool to create such a gorgeous sleep sack. As well as keeping baby at the optimum temperature; merino wool is hypoallergenic, naturally antibacterial, repels moisture and warms without the need for bulky materials.

The Antipodes Merino sleep sack is visually stunning and I’m so impressed with how soft and supple it is. It retails for £64.99 / $84.99 via Amazon. The aqua sleep bag is slightly cheaper via at their website at $79.99

If you have a new baby on the way and are considering a sleep bag, I highly recommend this Antipodes Merino sleep bag. It is suitable from 3 months up to 24 months which saves you having to buy multiple sacks in multiple sizes, saving you both time and money.

We used this Antipodes Merino sleep bag until Dexter turned 3 (much longer than the indicated age I know!) and we have now passed it on to our second son, Felix. The Antipodes Merino sleep bag has stood the test of time, having been in our lives now for well over two years and still in excellent condition. It remains soft and keeps baby warm when it’s cool and cool when it’s warm. It has been an excellent investment for our family.

I love sleepsacs - we used them until my son was fairly old as he loved them so much. I'm expecting our second baby soon and I can't wait to dig them all out again for him too. I love the sound of the merino wool, and the nautical stripe design is really cute. #TriedTested

Having just had my 3rd baby I completely agree how important sleep sacks are - I always worry if they are too cold in the night or if the have a blanket on will it go over their head. I have never heard of this brand before but will check them out for my baby when he is a couple of months older as his current one only last until he is 6 months.

We are huge sleepsack fans too and like you have tried a number out. I've not come across these though, we live in an old house and it's freezing at night. My focus has been on getting the highest tog possible. Maybe that was a mistake and these will solve that problem? I would much prefer to use natural fibres where possible.

All of mine have had sleep bags, just love them. I adore the stripes - I have an obsession with all things stripy so will have to go have a browse!

They're beautiful aren't they. Stripes make the world go round in my opinion! would wear them everyday if I could!
