It’s surprising how much money you can save simply by carrying out your own repairs and not simply paying a professional or throwing things out and buying new.

2. Meal plan and batch cook

Meal planning and batch cooking can help to cut down on your family food bill. Meal planning helps because it lets you work out exactly what you want to eat so you only ever buy the food you need to make those meals and nothing goes to waste. Batch cooking helps because when you make big pans of food all in one go, you end up using less fuel to cook said food overall. It also helps to free up more time which is a nice bonus.
