How to Serve Kiwi to Baby

Kiwi is a nutritious fruit that can be introduced to babies around 8 to 10 months old if you are traditionally weaning or from 6 months if you are baby led weaning.

To serve kiwi to your baby:

Selection: Start by selecting a ripe kiwi that yields slightly to gentle pressure.

Preparation: Wash the kiwi thoroughly to remove any dirt or debris. Peel the kiwi using a knife or vegetable peeler or by scooping out the flesh with a spoon.

Cutting: Cut the kiwi into small, bite-sized pieces that are easy for your baby to handle and chew.

Serving: Offer the kiwi pieces directly to your baby or mash them into a smoother consistency for younger babies.

Can I offer kiwi to my baby as a puree?

Yes, you can puree ripe kiwi and offer it as a smooth puree for younger babies who are starting solids.

Should I remove the kiwi seeds before serving it to my baby?

You should not have to remove the seeds when offering your baby kiwi. The seeds are very tiny and should not pose a choking hazard – plus it would probably take hours to get rid of them all!
