This year I am joining in with What the Redhead Said‘s project Living Arrows which is all about celebrating childhood.

Each week I will be posting a picture of Dexter showing what we have been up to or something new he has learnt.
This week Dexter has learnt how to stand up by himself as well as getting himself into a sitting position from his back. You may remember, only three short weeks ago, did Dexter start crawling and the skills he has mastered each week since have been enormous. I am so very proud of him (and scared!) Quite often this week, I have walked into his room after he has woken from a nap to find him either sitting in his cot looking at his soft toy or standing up waiting for me. He has been pulling himself up to standing using anything and everything he can grab. In this particular photo he got himself from a crawling position to standing using the toy basket to pull himself up. It’s not the greatest photo, but I didn’t have much time to capture it before having to hold my hands out to catch his fall.
We took him to soft play on Saturday so he could have a good mooch around without the worry of him banging his head, and I think I’ll be taking him weekly from now on to burn off some of his excess energy. I can’t wait to see what new skill we will have to tell you about next time!

It's so much fun when they can stand. The constant worry of banged heads and bumps.. suddenly the whole place becomes a death trap! He's changing so quickly!
