We’ve arrived in March! That must mean it’s time to have a look of where I am up to with my blogging goals for 2021.
Let’s look at each goal in turn and see if I’ve made any progress two months down the line…
HIT 35K SESSIONS PER MONTH (420K FOR THE YEAR)
In January, I hit 47k sessions on my blog, absolutely decimating my goal and achieving over 10% of my target for 2021. February was another excellent month with 42k sessions meaning I have now reached 89k sessions for 2021 so far which is 20% of my yearly target!
18.5k of users of my blog came from Google, 12.5k from social and the rest were referral or direct.
2. GET DA/DR TO 30
There’s been no move on this metric since last month. The DR is still 25 and my DA continues to be 28.
3. EARN £1000 PER MONTH
After a slow start to the year in January earning £862, I have more than made up for that in February by earning a whopping £1588!
This takes my earnings to just shy of £2500 for the year so far meaning I am ahead of target for my 2021 goal!
In terms of ad revenue, I had been really pleased with my January earnings and incredibly February has beaten these despite there being less days. I’ve averaged $24 a day in ad revenue thanks to working on increasing RPMs and added more images / optimising to old posts.
I’d absolutely love to increase this to $25 a day next month!
4. CREATE 50 NEW PIECES OF CONTENT
At the end of last month, I hadn’t get started creating any content and this was the one goal I was really behind on.
So in February, I got to work and started writing a few new recipes and I’m pleased to say I’ve now written seven brand new posts..
I’m still a bit behind where I’d like to be, but I’ve got a few more posts in the pipeline, tons of recipe ideas and I’ve been hard at work optimising old posts, so I’m not too worried yet!
I’m really pleased about where I am after the first two months of the year. Bring on March!
