Open every day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., the Adventure Science Center on Fort Negley Blvd has a whole host of attractions, including a full-dome show in the Sudekum Planetarium, live demonstrations, interactive exhibits, 3D printing workshops, science-themed cafes, and special events throughout the year!
A couple of popular highlights of the Science Center are the Tinker Lab, where kids and adults alike can build a small structure with whatever materials you may happen upon (small enough to take home!) and the climbing wall in the middle of the museum, which provides a great view of the Nashville skyline at the very top. Tickets start at $11.95 for kids and $15.95 for teens and adults.

Marvel at Some Truly Unique Autos
Is there a hot wheels fan in your family? If so, you are in luck! The Lane Motor Museum in South Nashville features over 150 unique cars and motorcycles. The Lane collection includes microcars, amphibious vehicles, military vehicles, alternative fuel vehicles, prototypes, one-of-a-kind vehicles, and motorcycles. The museum is open every day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. except Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Tickets are $12 for adults and $3 for kids and teens. Children under five get in for free!
Rock Out, Skate, Dance, and More!
This attraction pertains to the teenagers in your family or travel group. Rocketown is a teen-centered entertainment center in the Rutledge Hill sector of Nashville. With the largest indoor skate park in mid-Tennessee, three stages for live entertainment, a lively snack bar called The Hub, and recording, dance, and photography studios, there’s a little something for everyone to see and enjoy.
Say Hello to the Local Giraffe, Rhino, and Red Panda
At the Nashville Zoo at Grassmere, you and your family will have the opportunity to learn about the animals that call the zoo home, as well as the property’s extensive history. You can have hands-on encounters with kangaroos, lorikeets, turtles and more or ride a train, carousel, and zipline. You’re sure to have a wild time!
The Nashville Zoo is home to more than 2,700 animals, including birds, amphibians, reptiles, mammals, and arthropods. Tickets start at $17 for adults and teens, and $12 for children ages 3-12. Kids who are two years old or younger get in for free!
