Do you need any special equipment to make this recipe?
Nope! All you need to do is buy pre rolled puff pastry from the supermarket (usually on offer for around £1) and you’re good to go.
Of course, if you do have the time to make your own puff pastry, you could add this step in, in which case you’ll need a few essentials such as baking paper, a rolling pin and a spatula.
How to make bacon and cheese puffs
- Pre heat your oven to 200C (180C fan) and line a baking tray with baking paper or foil
- Chop the bacon into small chunks using scissors and fry until nearly crispy.
- Unroll the puff pastry and carefully cut the sheet in half. Roll up the other half and save in the fridge to make something else like these puff pastry pizza rolls.
- From the sheet you’re using, slice out squares using a sharp knife.
- Add cooked bacon and cheese to each square, then take each corner of the pastry and fold them into the middle so they meet and stick.
- Carefully brush milk over the exposed pastry and place the rolls on the baking tray.
- Bake in the oven for 10 minutes until golden brown
- Leave to cool before removing from the baking tray, carefully using a spatula.
