Naan Bread Pizza – the perfect family meal idea!
Do your kids turn their noses up at your lovingly prepared weekday meals? Are you rushing around every evening trying to fit in finishing work, school runs, homework and preparing a healthy meal that everyone will like?
I feel ya. As a full-time working Mum, trying to cram everything in as well as think up meal ideas that everyone will like is so so hard.
Fortunately, I have discovered the naan bread pizza…now the kids look forward to helping me prepare their dinner and they never complain because they get to choose their own toppings as well!
What makes naan bread pizza so simple?
Simply buy naan breads to stock in your bread bin (we love the huge ones you can get hold of in Morrisons) and when you’re ready to prepare your meal, load them up with all the toppings of your choice!
The kids seem to love the fact they can get involved in making these naan bread pizzas. There’s something about them getting to partake in the cooking process that means they eat even more than usual – weird isn’t it!
What toppings can you use?
The world is your oyster when it comes to toppings for your naan bread pizza.
Veggies:
- Sweetcorn
- Spinach (soak in boiling water, squeeze the excess moisture out, then chop into small chunks)
- Mushroom
- Cherry tomatoes
- Peppers (red, yellow and orange taste the best!)
Meat:
- Chicken
- Pepperoni
- Salami
- Chorizo
- Minced beef
Everything else:
- Olives
- Jalapenos
- Sliced garlic
- Chilli flakes
- Pineapple (hmmm..not sure on this one!)

How do you make a dairy-free naan bread pizza?
Simply pick up a pack of Violife grated vegan cheese and sprinkle over your naan bread. It’s deliciously creamy and whether you’re a vegan or not, you’ll be hard pushed to tell the difference between this and normal cheese and it tastes incredible!
Can kids eat this naan bread pizza?
Absolutely! I’d avoid the jalapenos and chilli flakes for the kids and let them go ahead and choose what they want to have. Getting them involved in creating their own dinner helps teach valuable life skills as well as giving you guys a fun way to spend time together which is important for their happiness and development!
