You may have noticed over the past couple of weeks I’ve been a bit quieter than normal on the blog.
It wasn’t really planned but over the past few weeks I’ve been taking a bit of a blogging break. I’ve still been responding to emails, tweeting and checking in occasionally on Facebook, but on the whole the blog has taken a bit of a back seat along with my beloved Instagram.
Last year when my Dad was ill in hospital I took a little break and it felt good to feel a little bit freer in the evenings. This time, there’s been no big event to make me take a little break, but I have felt more tired over recent weeks and when I feel like that, something has to give.
Since the clocks went forward at the weekend I am feeling a lot more motivated and less fatigued too. I find the dark nights very draining and after a long day in work I find it difficult to motivate myself to cook, tidy up and to spend time blogging, especially when it feels like a bit of a chore. The lighter evenings have made me more motivated to cook fresh and this week I hit Aldi to get their super six fruit and veg to make more creative meals. I’ve been loving eating kale and beetroot salads along with my usual meals to boost my energy and make me feel a little less lethargic.
Going forward I want to carry on blogging as I do love the cathartic aspect of being able to put all my thoughts and feelings onto a screen and sharing my experiences helps me to understand them as much as it may help someone else who is experiencing something similar.
As a family we are going to have a lot going on over the next six months, we have big plans and I want to share them with my dear readers as much as possible so over the coming weeks the blogging break will cease and you will see me going back to my old active self.
Happy Easter to you all and I hope you enjoy the extended weekend that is upon us!
