The Best Baby Led Weaning Bowls

Share this post with your friends!

Baby led weaning is all about baby learning how to self feed, so are baby led weaning bowls really necessary? In our opinion, yes they are! Although it can be easier to pop baby’s food straight onto their tray, if you are wanting to offer meals such as soup or porridges, you’ll need to stock up on some bowls perfect for babies.

There is so much choice out there when it comes to choosing the best bowls for baby led weaning, so here is our collection of our tried and tested faves.

Best Bowls for Baby Led Weaning

Let’s look at each one in turn!

Bamboo Bamboo Suction Bowls

Bamboo Bamboo bowls are a firm fave among the Insta mummy crew and it’s easy to see why. They look gorgeous but also pack a punch in terms of how eco-friendly they are too.

These Bamboo Bamboo bowls have a strong suctioned bottom and promise to help stimulate baby’s brain with their bright colours.

Munchkin Stay Put

It can be almost impossible to find baby led weaning bowls that live up to their promise of sticking to the highchair tray or dining table. Time after time we have used bowls that have ended up on the floor, no matter how hard we’ve tried to stick them. The Munchkin Stay Put bowls however are a game changer.

The bowls come in a pack of three that stack neatly together for storage and come in bright colours to stimulate and grab your baby’s attention.

The bowls stick really well to your baby’s highchair and even come with a quick release tab!

Munchkin White Hot

If you’re anything like me, you will always be worrying that baby’s food is too hot for them. When it comes to things like soup and porridge, it can seem cool to us, but not quite cool enough for baby, so these Munchkin White Hot weaning bowls are an absolute necessity!

Just like the Stay Put bowls, these Munchkin White Hot bowls come in a pack of three and neatly stack together to minimise mess in your cupboards. Each bowl has a strip that turns white when the food placed in the bowl is too hot, giving you the confidence to feed your baby without fear of them burning their mouths.

Vital Baby Nourish Scoop Feeding Set

We loved this Vital Baby Nourish Scoop Feeding Set for when we wanted to go on a day out, but needed to take food with us. This bowl handily comes with a leak-proof lid and a handy slot for the spoon to sit too. Simply pop the food inside the bowl, throw it in your bag and you’re good to go!

BFA and latex free and microwave and dishwasher safe, this bowl truly does pack a punch. It also has an integrated mashing zone within the bowl so you can mash up baby’s food if needed!

Vital Baby Nourish Perfectly Simple Bowls

If you’re anything like me, dishwashing isn’t high on the priority list during the baby weaning stages so I needed stacks and stacks of bowls while the washing piled up on the side! (No shame here – I much preferred spending time playing with baby and catching up on my zzz’s then spending time washing dishes!)

With pennies being tight during maternity leave, having a stack of bamboo bowls simply wasn’t economically viable so I turned to these Vital Baby Nourish Perfect Simple bowls.

This 5 pack of bowls costs less than £4, come in lovely bright colours, are stackable and are perfect for feeding your baby. They’re even dishwasher safe too!

EQLEF® Baby 360

This is the most expensive bowl on our list of baby led weaning bowls, but thanks to it’s promise of no spillages, it’s certainly worth a mention.

Perfect for slightly older babies who are starting to use cutlery, this bowl keeps all the food within it when accidentally knocked resulting in fewer tears and a lot less mess!
